Sage the Gemini Claims Jordin Sparks Relationship Was a PR Stunt, Says He ‘Wanted to Stab Her’
Well, things have taken a scary turn.
Sage the Gemini, who has been pestering ex-girlfriend Jordin Sparks to reconsider their recent breakup, claims their 10-month relationship was fake and says he “wanted to stab her” at times in a leaked phone conversation.
In the audio, which was uploaded onto YouTube on Monday (Feb. 22, 2016), the rapper tells ex-fiancée Curium Hurley that the American Idol alum supposedly dated him for publicity. Airing out his grievances, Sage the Gemini (born Dominic Wynn Woods) tries to explain that Sparks meant nothing to him as he tries to talk to Hurley about their broken engagement.
“Everything was fucking horrible,” he says in the recording. “That shit was fucking dumb. She got on my nerves. I wanted to stab her. All of that shit. Don’t get me wrong, she’s cool, she’s level-headed, whatever, but she’s not no regular person … Everybody on the outside looking in [thinks] it’s hella perfect.”
According to Sage, the his manager told him to share photos of Sparks on his Instagram as a way to “stir shit up” ahead of his album’s release, insisting that he had nothing to do with posting about Sparks as his #WomanCrushWednesday.
“My manager was like, ‘No, bring it back. How the hell are you going to sell the album?” he tells his ex, trying to convince her that his relationship with Sparks was purely a PR move. “Now publicists were meeting with other publicists. They’re like, ‘We need to make this a big story ’cause her album was gonna come out.'”
However, it seems like Sage is playing both sides and attempting to manipulate his exes. Previously, he penned a long open letter on Instagram begging Sparks to respond to his texts.
“You the only girl I can call at 3 in the morning and you’ll answer no problem. You the only girl that can wake up out of a dead sleep and get me some water because I was coughing in my sleep the only girl that loves me the way you were supposed to,” he wrote. “I miss you to much to watch you look so amazing at the [Clive] Davis party and not be able to call you and express how much I appreciated the look because you won’t answer nor text back the feeling is horrible.”
You know what else is horrible? Threatening to stab someone.
