Milo Ventimiglia Talks ‘Gilmore Girl’ Revival: Jess Is ‘Up to Jess Shit’

Everything About Netflix's 'Gilmore Girls' Revival
What you need to know about the series' big return.

Even after all these years, your favorite Rory Gilmore boyfriend Jess hasn’t changed one bit.

In an interview at a Wizard World comic book conventionMilo Ventimiglia, who has been confirmed appear on Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival, says his beloved character is up to his old ways in the upcoming four-parter. (Does this mean Jess still has feelings for Alexis Beldel’s character?!)

“Jess is just up to Jess shit. He’s Jess. He’s a little salty and ornery and kind of doing his own thing and has zero tolerance for anything or anyone,” he tells the crowd. “He’s also there to kind of push the ball forward for some folks of Stars Hollow, which is something that Jess has always done — whether intentionally, maliciously, or positively. He’s always sent people in a direction.”

Remember when Jess convinced Rory to go back to school to fulfill her dreams after she had dropped out of Yale? Swoon.

Aside from Ventimiglia’s Jess, Rory’s other former lovers — Logan (Matt Czuchry) and Dean (Jared Padalecki) — will also be back to create some more drama. Other returning cast members include Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Danny Strong, Emily KurodaSally Struthers, and Vanessa Marano.

Will Jess and Rory finally get back together? Only time will tell. Though filming for the Gilmore Girls installments have commenced, Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date for the new 90-minute episodes.
