WATCH: Taraji P. Henson Blames ‘Kool-Aid’ for Her Super Bowl Mix-Up

Too much juice got the fingers feelin’ loose.

Taraji P. Henson made a little teensy mistake on the night of Super Bowl 50 during the halftime show. Instead of tweeting out a big old YAS to celebrate Coldplay, the headlining performers, Henson wrote, “YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!! #superbowl50#HappyCamper I am.”

She deleted the tweet shortly after receiving corrections upon corrections from her followers that kindly let her know that Maroon 5 and Coldplay were not the same band, and sent out an apology:

The Empire actress attributed her mistake to the amenities provided at the big game during her visit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

“You’re at the Super Bowl, and they give you Kool-Aid to drink. I had a lot of Kool-Aid,” she told Jimmy Fallon, before likening the situation to a family affair. “Honestly, if you have more than one sibling you trying to call the one, ‘Pam, Pat, Patrica? Kim!’ But problem with the tweet is once you hit the send button it’s gone.”
