The actress opens up about the dark and troubling emotions she faces.

Brie Larson just won over our hearts all over again.

The actress, who won Best Actress in a Leading Role in Room Sunday night (Feb. 28, 2016), proved that she’s basically the best human being ever when she went up to each sexual violence survivor that appeared onstage during Lady Gaga’s “‘Til It Happens to You” performance and gave every one of them a hug when the song was over.

As they filed off the stage, Larson stood up from her seat and approached each individual with a supportive embrace. One audience member was able to capture the moving gesture on video, which was otherwise not televised on the ABC broadcast.

In her Oscar-winning role, Larson played a young woman who was kidnapped and repeatedly sexually assaulted by her captor for years. The movie follows her character’s recovery after she manages to flee from her abuser with the child she had conceived through rape.
