Tina Fey: The Oscars Are ‘Some Real Hollywood Bullsh*t’

You can always count on Tina to say what everyone is thinking!

The SNL alumna paid a visit to notorious shock jock Howard Stern’s Sirius XM talk show to weigh in on the Oscars proceedings, Leonardo DiCaprio’s acceptance speech, and more!

Apparently the comedian didn’t think much of big awards hoopla on Sunday night, saying, “I’m so glad I live in [New York City], because halfway through, I was like, ‘This is some real Hollywood bullshit.’”

Fey didn’t enjoy watching every Oscar recipient “telling me what to do… People yelling at me about rape and corporate greed… [and] climate change. And I was like, ‘Guys, pick a lane. We’re gonna fix everything tonight? Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed? You’re all so rich.’”

However, she didn’t mind when Leo brought up climate change during his moment in the spotlight. “I’m always psyched when someone is articulate about those things, because let’s face it, actors are very stupid,” she said. “But he’s so smart and his speech was so cogent.”

Fey also mentioned her attempt to befriend Caitlyn Jenner at an after-party. “I was trying so hard to have a moment with her,” Fey said. “I was trying to make eye contact… And she was not having me … You could tell she was like, ‘I am the biggest deal in here’… She looked fantastic!”
