Here’s What Celebrities Are Saying About Peyton Manning’s Retirement From Football
It’s the end of an era.
On Monday (Mar. 7, 2016), Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning confirmed that he was retiring from the NFL after 18 season. The football player, who led his team to victory during last month’s Super Bowl, said that it was time to hang up his jersey in a press conference.
“Football fans don’t even know how much they meant to me over the years,” he said between tears. “Fans you are at the core of what makes this game remarkable … [You have] given me a voice that can echo well beyond the game.”
Needless to say, many fans and athletes alike took to social media to express their love for Manning.
