Mariah Carey Is Getting a TV Show About Mariah Carey (and Squad)

Mariah Carey is doing something she’s never done before…

The “Touch My Body” singer reportedly has a new reality TV show in the works, because the world is round and reality TV is what all of the cool kids are doing these days.

According to an Us Weekly source, she’s shooting a docu-style series chronicling “the behind-the-scenes drama of her Las Vegas residency, Mariah #1 to Infinity, and, come this spring, her two-month European tour.”

The insider explained, “Mariah’s excited to show some personal family moments. It’ll definitely show another side to her.”

It wasn’t difficult for the mom of 4-year-old twins Morocco and Monroe (with ex Nick Cannon) to score her latest gig. A second source noted, “Her manager is a reality TV producer and got her the deal.”

The show does not yet have an air date, but it does reportedly have a name: Mariah’s Squad.

A third insider explained, “The show is also about Mariah and the crew around her. It’s nuts. Mariah is very funny on camera.”

A witness at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party on February 28 even witness Carey with a camera crew in tow. “It appeared as if Mariah brought her own camera crew,” they commented. “She kept checking to make sure her team got the shots they needed. She was the only guest with a personal crew!”

We imagine that Carey, who’s now engaged to filthy-rich James Packer, is a natural at having people obsess over her every move.
