Amber Heard Is Joining ‘Justice League’ and ‘Aquaman’

The red carpet fashions at the Art of Elysium’s 9th annual Heaven Gala were particularly striking this year.

It looks like Johnny Depp’s better half is joining the DC Universe!

According to The WrapAmber Heard will be joining the already impressive cast of the Justice League films as Mera, the love interest of Aquaman (Jason Momoa). The character also has super powers, namely the ability to control water. According to the comics, she becomes the queen of Atlantis.

The gorgeous actress spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the elaborate costume they are designing for her.

“It’s interesting,” she said. “I’m wearing, like, half suit of armor, half scales. It’s strange. But we’re in the process of building it now. It’s coming along.”

The cast of Justice League also includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ezra Miller as The Flash,  Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Momoa as Aquaman.

After Justice League, a standalone Aquaman film is in the works, which Heard will also appear in.

The first part of Justice League is slated for a 2017 release.
