Taylor Swift Surprises Sick Kids at Hospital with the Best Gift Ever

Taylor Swift brightened up a few kids’ days today.

The singer made a surprise appearance at a Nashville children’s hospital on Friday (Mar. 18, 2016) to help Ryan Seacrest open a broadcast studio for patients. While the American Idol host was getting ready for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, he reportedly said, “Perhaps you’ll recognize my friend,” as Swift made her surprise arrival. She then went on to give a speech, play with the kids, and participate in the new studio’s first-ever broadcast.

Seacrest later told People magazine: “It was thrilling to have Taylor surprise the patients, which made the day of our first broadcast at Vanderbilt even more special,” he said. “She infused so much joy into the entire hospital community.”

Not only did she surprise the children with her special appearance, but they even got to take home presents and signed autographs from Swift herself. Earlier this year, the 26-year-old also donated $100, 000 to cancer research for the V Foundation.
