Watch: Khloe Kardashian Thought a Baby Would Save Her Marriage with Lamar Odom
“I was like ‘Oh I have to have a baby!'”
Even though Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom called it quits on their marriage more than two years ago, Kardashian has never hesitated to let anyone know she wanted the marriage to work more than anything. We now know that Odom’s drug addiction was a huge factor in the decline of their relationship, but now Kardashian’s opening up about the lengths she went through to try and “fix” her relationship.
During last night’s (Mar. 23, 2016), episode of Kocktails with Khloe, Kardashian admitted to her guests Dita Von Teese, Missy Pyle, and Terry and Heather Dubrow that she went through IVF with the hopes that a baby would save their crumbling marriage. “Well, there was a reason why it didn’t work,” she said. “But at the time, I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve got to have a baby!’ That’s all I wanted at the time, and I thought it would maybe fix the situation.”
Kardashian went on to confess that she’s glad it didn’t work out after all, and while she would love kids of her own in the future, she was too young to understand the seriousness of what she was doing, “I was 27, and I thought, ‘A baby will fix this,’ and it’s not going to fix that.”
