Hugh Jackman can add hero to his resume.
The actor helped save his two children from a dangerous tide on Saturday (Mar. 26, 2016) at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. According to a report by news channel 9News, the waters got very tough which led the Wolverine star to jump in. Now, the clip of him hopping into the water to rescue his family is going viral — and for good reason, of course.
The man who Jackman was seen assisting, Peter Adam, later told 9 News that he was actually helping the actor’s daughter. “I was assisting him to get his daughter up to the sandbar. He then grabbed my hand to get us up,” he said. “He then went to get his son.”

Jackman was “so shaken up” that he couldn’t even talk to reporters. His rep later said in a statement that he and his son were “100 percent fine” and that “it looks a lot more dramatic than it actually was.” However, following the incident, the beach had to be shut down.
