The Weeknd and Bella Hadid Make Beautiful Red Carpet Debut

Model of the year Bella Hadid is also about to be your favorite person to follow on Instagram.

From one runway and photoshoot to another, Gigi Hadid’s younger sis is one of the most active models in the industry even though she just walked in her first couture show back in January, in the Chanel Couture Spring Show 2016 (alongside Gigi of course) during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

In 2015 alone (and less than two years working in as a model), Hadid walked in a number of the biggest fashion shows from Tom Ford and Diane von Fürstenberg, to Balmain and Moschino, even closing out Jeremy Scott.

Not to mention Hadid has been on the cover of a variety of magazines in 2015 and 2016 (like V Magazine with Gigi, Editorialist, Wonderlands 10th Birthday Issue, Harper’s Bazaar Spain and Korea, and Evening Standard), and has also appeared in several music videos.

The 19-year-old, who’s currently dating The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye, is not only a talented model: as a teen, she was a nationally-ranked equestrian rider.

After revealing to Porter Magazine last fall that she was planning on competing in the 2016 Olympics in the equestrian events, in January her mom Yolanda Foster explained in a blog post that due to her daughter’s battle with Lyme disease, she was unable to continue training and would unfortunately be unable to compete. Foster, who was a model in the ’80s and is a star on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, wrote:

Bella had to give up her lifelong dream of having a professional riding career and a shot at the Olympics due to her severe symptoms and inability to ride. This was the biggest heartbreak of her life and an extremely sensitive subject for her. She is resilient and focused on a new direction–she’s made a name for herself in the modeling industry while she struggles with symptoms of chronic Lyme every day.

Yolanda, Bella, and her brother Anwar all suffer from the disease.

But Bella is resilient and even aspires to try her hand at the other side of the lens as a photographer. After receiving the honor of Model of the Year at the Fashion L.A. Awards in March, Bella told the Daily Front Row that she got into Parsons for photography, which was her passion all through high school. As for whether fashion photograph is in her future, she commented:
I’m learning so much from the photographers that I’m working with that I’d love to shoot editorials eventually. I have a good eye for it. I feel blessed I can learn while I’m working.
