George Clooney Says ‘Hello! Magazine’ Fabricated an Entire Interview!

The actor says he never spoke with the British mag!

George Clooney doesn’t have much patience for lies getting circulated about him. Recently the Hail, Caesar! star spoke out about an interview with Hello! Magazine that he says never happened!

The supposed exclusive interview has since been taken down but parts of the story had already been picked up by outlets like Vanity Fair, The Sun and Marie Claire.

The movie star released a statement this morning concerning the bogus piece. Here it is, via Deadline:

“Hello Magazine has printed an “EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW ” with me that has been widely picked up and reprinted.

Outlets like Vanity FairMarie ClaireThe Sun, and The Evening Standard have all printed my exclusive interview and credited Hello Magazine.

The problem is that I have not given an interview to Hello Magazine and the quotes attributed to me are not accurate.

In my experience, being misquoted is not unusual but to have an “exclusive interview” completely fabricated is something new.

And a very disturbing trend.”

In the story, there are comments stating that Clooney frequently uses social media, despite the fact that the actor doesn’t have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account. The “interview” also included intimate details about his and Amal Alamuddin’s marriage, such as the fact that they never spend more than a week apart.

Props to George for not putting up with the lies!
