It seems that 18-year-old actor, Alex Wolff, has graduated from his Nickelodeon days into more serious fare with his latest casting announcement.

Wolff is taking on the role of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the younger brother of the two infamous Boston bombers, in the upcoming film, Patriots Day.

The film centers around the 2013 attack on the Boston Marathon that injured more than 250 people and killed three.

Tsarnaev’s older brother, Tameralan, died in a police shootout in 2013.

Currently, Tsarnaev sits on death row after being convicted in April 2015 of 30 federal counts and receiving a subsequent death sentence.
