Amy Schumer Slams Glamour Magazine for Including Her in ‘Plus Size’ Issue

The comedian wants to know what you think.

Last week a special “Chic At Any Size” issue of Glamour hit stands, with model Ashley Graham on the cover and featuring nothing but plus size models. While an inspiring concept, comedian Amy Schumer has a bone to pick with the mag, after they featured her name on the cover. The bottom of the cover reads, “Women Who Inspire Us: Melissa McCarthy, Adele, Amy Schumer & Ashley Graham.”

Earlier today (Apr. 5, 2016), Schumer called the mag out on Instagram, insisting that while there is nothing wrong with being plus size, she herself is not. “Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8,” she wrote, before calling the publication out, “@glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me. Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size?”

Glamour has yet to respond to Schumer’s shade, but the comedian’s begun retweeting her followers thoughts on the issue, and everyone seems to agree the magazine was in the wrong.

Glamour’s editor-in-chief, Cindi Leive, has since apologized for the issue’s wording.
