Dylan O’Brien Is ‘Healing Very Well’ After Severely Injured on ‘Maze Runner’ Set
Dylan O’Brien in on the road to recovery.
The actor, who was hospitalized after a stunt had gone awry on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last month, is currently healing from his injuries, including several broken bones and facial fracture and lacerations.
“He got his bell rung,” he continued. “I would imagine many who witnessed thought that was it … [But] he’s a survivor. The one good thing about Dylan that I think is going to help him get back on schedule with us very soon is he has a great attitude.”
Filming, which is taking place in British Columbia, Canada, has been temporary shut down while O’Brien recuperates. Production is slated to resume on May 15.
According to a report by WorkSafeBC, O’Brien lost control of his motorcycle after filming an action sequence on March 30. He was rushed to a nearby hospital after hitting his head on the pavement and losing consciousness.
“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada,” a statement from 20th Century Fox read at the time. “He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”
