Lupita Nyong’o Sports Sequins and Steals the Spotlight at ‘The Jungle Book’ Premiere in Los Angeles
Can we just have Lupita Nyong’o’s entire closet already?
The style icon and Stars Wars: The Force Awakens actress stole the spotlight at last night’s premiere of The Jungle Book in Los Angeles. Nyong’o voices the character Raksha in this live-action/CGI version of Walt Disney’s 1967 animated film, based on the collection by Rudyard Kipling.
The 33-year-old stunned in a custom lime green J. Crew top and a metallic, layered sequined skirt.
Nyong’o told Entertainment Tonight, “Jungle Book was definitely a part of my childhood. I loved Mowgli and the freedom with which he seemed to live his life. He’d swing from vine to vine and he had all these cool animal friends and he went on an adventure to find out where he belonged. And I just really identified with that and wished that I could experience such freedom.”
As for Disney’s new retelling of the classic, she noted, “I just absolutely love that world, and a part of me thought that I ought to live there.”
