Drake Finally Announces Release Date for His New Album ‘Views From the 6’

Drake Drops Two New Songs
...and Twitter Goes in on Jay Z for Two-Line Verse.

It’s coming sooner than you think.

Drake fans finally got the news they’ve been patiently waiting for — his new album, Views From the 6, will be out April 29th. The Toronto rapper revealed the news during Beats 1 show, OVO Sound Radio, Saturday night (Apr. 9, 2016). “I’m happy to let you know that Views is dropping April 29,” Drake said. “It’s something that I’ve been working really, really hard on.”

He added, “It’s not a short ting [sic]. There’s a lot of music on there. You’ll have your full share of Drake music for the summer and for the year. Forever.”

Along with the news, Drizzy also later shared a promo trailer on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, which features familiar footage from throughout his career. He even pays tribute to his character, Jimmy Brooks, from Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Earlier this week, Drake released two new songs, “Pop Style” and “One Dance,” which feature both Kanye West and Jay Z, and more. However, Views From the 6 will reportedly be an Apple Music/iTunes exclusive on the day of its release.
