See Queen Elizabeth’s Precious 90th Birthday Portrait with Her Grand and Great-Grandkids
Aww, it’s “Gan-Gan” and her happy royal brood.
In honor of her 90th birthday on Thursday, the Kensington Palace released a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, posing with Prince George (who affectionately calls his great-grandmother “Gan-Gan”) Princess Charlotte and five of her other grandkids and great-grandkids, taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
The children pictured are 2-year-old Mia Tindall, (who’s holding the queen’s handbag), daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall (Zara is Princess Anne’s daughter); James, Viscount Severn, 8, and Lady Louise, 12, the children of The Earl and Countess of Wessex (Prince Edward’s children); Savannah, 5, and Isla Phillips, 4, daughters of the queen’s eldest grandson Peter Phillips (Anne’s eldest) and his wife Autumn; and finally Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, Prince George, 2, and sweet Princess Charlotte, 11 months, sitting on Elizabeth’s lap.
Another portrait posted to Instagram included four generations of the royal family, with cute-as-button George holding his dad’s hand.
Leibovitz also took a few more of the Queen, including one with her beloved crew of corgis and corgi mixes: Willow, Vulcan, Candy and Holly. The photo shoot took place at Windsor Castle during the royal family Easter holiday.
