Will Ferrell Backs Out of Controversial Ronald Reagan Comedy
After news of his upcoming role in a comedy about the late President’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease caused quite a bit of controversy, the actor has pulled out of the project. Reagan’s family was not happy about the fact that the film had plans to make his disease a joke. Reagan’s son, Michael, also voiced his disappointment about the script on Twitter.
#Alzheimers is not a comedy to the 5 million people who are suffering with the decease,it first robs you of your mind and then it kills you

“The Reagan script is one of a number of scripts that had been submitted to Will Ferrell which he had considered,” a rep for the actor told Page Six. “While it is by no means an ‘Alzheimer’s comedy’ as has been suggested, Mr. Ferrell is not pursuing this project.”
