Celebuzz’d Episode 012: Kristin Chenoweth Devises the Most Perfect Sonic Burger While We Scream for Baby Blob

Give us all of your taters and toddlers.

Kristin Chenoweth is decidedly a pinball in the success machine. Not only has she conquered the Broadway stage through her roles in Wicked and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown in addition to her stints on Pushing Daisies and Glee, but now, she’s headed back onto the big screen in an upcoming film called Hard Sell featuring Katrina Bowden and Skyler Gisondo.

This is a different Kristin than we’re used to seeing—here, Chenoweth portrays an unstable mother who has “a prescription for everything”. “When I was playing April on Glee, what was fun about her is that she didn’t really take anyone or herself mostly serious,” Chenoweth tells us in this episode of Celebuzz’d. “But with this character [in Hard Sell], she knows … that she’s agoraphobic, that she’s bipolar. And the biggest push and reason that I did this movie was because I was struck by how her son winds up being the parent and the parent ends up being the child.”

On a lighter note, she’s teamed up with Mars Petcare to record voiceovers over hangry pre-dinner doggie freak-outs, which will certainly arise after you read the recipe for her yet-to-be-minted signature Sonic burger outloud: a meat patty with a ranch bomb packed inside, all deep fried in one big tater tot, and packed in a bun that’s covered in cheese.

Sonic, can you hear us?
