Prince Harry Ends the 2016 Invictus Games with an Inspiring Speech
Attendees at the competition’s closing ceremony were given a royal sendoff!
“You are all Invictus,” Prince Harry told veterans and service members at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, via ABC News. “You are now ambassadors for the spirit of these games. Spread the word. Never stop fighting and do all you can to lift up everyone around you,” Harry said, then added, “I’ll see you in Toronto.”
The weeklong games were created by Prince Harry and designed to shed light on the struggle of wounded veterans. The closing ceremony also included performances from Flo Rida, Rascal Flatts and Rachel Platten.
This week, the 31-year-old royal family member attended several of the athletic events and cheered on the competitors.
