The whole stranded-on-an-island thing paid off in the end.

Survivor competitor Tai Trang was greeted with a pleasant surprise during the season 32 finale when Sia rolled on in as Trang described his exit from the show. The contestant, a 51-year-old gardener from San Fransisco, discussed his love for animals on the show and saved a chicken from slaughter during production, which touched Sia’s soft spot.

“I could not let Tai go home without saying that your authenticity and your care for animals really inspired me,” the “Chandelier” singer said. “I just want to say thank you for showing America how to be kind to animals.”

She gifted him $50,000 plus an additional matching donation of the same amount to use towards his animal charity of choice.
