‘Beauty and the Beast’ Teaser Is Now Walt Disney Studios’ Most-Watched, Topping ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

At 91.8 million views, the 1:30 trailer for the upcoming Beauty and the Beast is now the most viewed teaser in history in its first 24 hours.

The honor formally went to both teasers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was viewed 55 million and 88 million views on their respective first days.

The Beauty and the Beast teaser, which debuted on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday morning (May 23) before going online worldwide, also topped the teasers for Captain America: Civil War (61 million) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (34 million). When it comes to full-length trailers, Star Wars: The Force Awakens still has the crown at over 100 million views. However, we’ve yet to see the Beauty and the Beast full-trailer…

Needless to say, people are excited for the live-action rendering of the classical 1991 animated film, with all its romance, music, and drama to boot.
