WATCH: Leslie Jones Explains How to Nail an Interview for a Job as a Scientology Telemarketer
Here’s where acting comes in handy in order to pay the bills.
As it turns out, the Ghostbusters cast didn’t start out with giant careers on Saturday Night Live; they had to work random jobs in order to make a living. Leslie Jones recounts her fond memories of working as a telemarketer for the church of Scientology to Ellen DeGeneres during a cast visit to the daytime talk show.
“I lived in Glendale I needed to pay the rent, and it was a very easy interview,” explained Jones, who is not a Scientologist. “I just acted crazy.”
“I’m sorry Scientologists for revealing things,” continued Jones, staring dead into the void of the camera lens.
“I was an umpire for a Scientology baseball team.”
