Only Gwen Stefani can make being miserable look this good.
After teasing fans with a short clip, the singer released the full music video for her new single, “Misery,” this Tuesday (May 31, 2016). In true Stefani fashion, the visuals feature the blonde beauty parading around in a plethora of super chic outfits as she pouts and croons about being brokenhearted.
The song, which is off her third solo album This Is What the Truth Feels Like, is said to be inspired by Stefani’s divorce with Gavin Rossdale and her subsequent relationship with Blake Shelton. (Which may explain the subtle nod to her boyfriend by including a horse in the video. After all, he did buy her one during their courtship.)
“We got her horse and I got myself a horse at the same time,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight in March. “Gwen, she loves riding and she loves horses. It’s actually so funny that people are so shocked by that, but if you can name me one girl on the planet that doesn’t love horses or just think that they are beautiful…”
