Former Destiny’s Child Member Farrah Franklin Arrested in Georgia
Five months of Destiny’s Child membership is still membership, okay?
Farrah Franklin (we know: “Farrah who?”) was arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia around 3 a.m. on Thursday (June 2, 2016) for public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
Officials confirmed the news to E! that Franklin was taken into custody after getting into an argument with a male friend outside a gym.
When officers arrived, they noticed an odor of booze, and determined Farrah was intoxicated due to her slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Subsequent to the arrest, police found marijuana and charged her with possession as well.
She’s currently in custody with bail set at $250.
Franklin was part of the R&B group — you know, the one Beyoncé made famous — for only five months during 1999 – 2000. She and Michelle Williams replaced original members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett after they alleged the group’s manager Matthew Knowles (aka Beyoncé’s father) was showing favoritism towards Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.
