Tamar Braxton Gets Her Own Talk Show After Being Fired from ‘The Real’
Following Tamar Braxton’s sudden departure from the daytime talk show The Real, Steve Harvey is offering to give her her own talk show.
Harvey made the announcement on his morning show Thursday, saying, “We saw the opportunity of what people may recognize as the end, but it’s not. It’s such a beginning. She has such a bright future. She is such a star. She has so much to offer. She is a plethora of talent. We think she would make a great game show host, we think she would make a great talk show host, we think she’s in line to produce a number of series… we are proud to announce today that Tamar Braxton is already on her feet.”
News that Braxton was not returning to The Real came out last month, with both the show and the singer releasing a statement that the decision was mutual, but then Tamar posted an Instagram pic, saying she had been “stabbed in the back.”
On her WEtv reality show Braxton Family Values, which aired Thursday night, Braxton broke down in tears in her sister’s arms. Tamar lamented how much the “whole year sucked ass,” which included not only The Real deal but also a not-so-successful album, a tour cancellation and being forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars due to health issues.
She cried, “Everything just feels like a loss for me… I just feel the rug has been pulled from under me for everything I love and everything that I do.” Watch the clip below!
