Model-Turned-Actress Kate Upton Is Returning to Modeling

Don’t worry, you’ll still see her on the big screen.

Kate Upton, who first gained popularity in the pages of Sports Illustrated before making a name for herself as an actress in recent years, has recently signed with Next Model Management, according to The Post’s Kirsten Fleming.

Page Six reminds us that the 23-year-old “unceremoniously” ditched her IMG Models management team in 2014 to focus building her acting career.

WWD notes, “Upton was one of the first models to gain a career boost through popularity on the Internet; a 2011 YouTube video of her dancing in the stands of a Los Angeles Clippers game garnered millions of views.”

Next also represents models and talent like Lucky Blue Smith, Lana Del Rey, Rita Ora, Caroline Vreeland, and Erika Linder. They will handle all of Upton’s fashion and beauty projects.

Upton, who recently became engaged to baseball player Justin Verlander, has three movies in post-production: The Masterpiece (directed by James Franco), Wild Man and The LayoverShe last starred in The Other Woman alongside Cameron Diaz.

She will continue to be represented by WME and LBI Entertainment for her acting projects.
