WATCH: Bobby Brown Blames Nick Gordon for Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina’s Deaths
Bobby Brown believes only one person is to blame for the deaths of his ex-wife and daughter.
In a new clip from his upcoming interview with 20/20’s Robin Roberts, which airs June 7, the patriarch points the finger at Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of his late daughter, for the untimely passing of Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown. According to Bobby, who currently has a $10 million lawsuit against Nick for allegedly abusing Bobbi Kristina and injecting drugs into her system, the 20-year-old is actually the culprit behind both mother and daughter’s deaths.
“It’s not a mystery to me the same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney,” Bobby says, referring to the similarities between Houston’s February 2012 death and how BK was found unresponsive in her bathtub in January 2015. “There is only one person around both occasions.”
“You won’t say his name, but Nick Gordon is who you’re referring to,” Robin notes.
Bobby replies, “I won’t say his name.”
“He knows what happened,” the singer continues. “I don’t know what happened that night, but he does.”
Like her mother just almost three years ago, Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31, 2015 at her home in Roswell, Ga. She was then transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta where she was placed in a medically induced coma for weeks before being moved to another facility in March. After having suffered from irreversible brain damage, Bobbi Kristina was pronounced dead on July 26, 2015, at the age of 22.
A statement from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office later revealed that Bobbi Kristina’s cause of death was due to a combination of drowning and drug intoxication.
Since Whitney and Bobbi Kristina’s deaths, Gordon claimed that his late girlfriend had started using drugs.
“After her mom had passed she would use drugs to numb the pain she was feeling,” Gordon said of Bobbi Kristina earlier this year in an interview with the Daily Mail. “She started taking pain pills and Xanax and self-harming. You could see the scars on her arms.”
He also alleged that Bobbi Kristina had almost drowned while taking a bath with the water running just days before Whitney was found dead in a bathtub.
“It was in the Beverly Hills Hilton and the water overflowed out into the hallway,” he said. “Whitney found her, pulled her out and slept in her bed that night.”
Whitney was discovered dead in her bath at a Los Angeles hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. She was 48.
