Nick Gordon’s Attorney Hits Back at Bobby Brown’s Implication That Gordon Was Involved in Bobbi Kristina’s Death

Nick Gordon’s camp isn’t amused by what’s implied in Bobby Brown’s interview with 20/20.

Based on clips from Brown’s upcoming interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, the father of Bobbi Kristina Brown implicates Gordon in the deaths of Bobbi Kristina and his ex-wife Whitney Houston.

“It’s not a mystery to me. The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney,” Bobby tells Roberts in a sneak peak from their discussion. “There’s only one person that was around both occasions.”

Roberts follows up with the reply, “You won’t say his name – Nick Gordon is who you’re referring to.”

“I won’t say his name,” Bobby states.

Jose Baez, Gordon’s attorney, says in an exclusive statement to People that his client is in the clear despite Brown’s insinuation. “We have repeatedly said that Nick Gordon is innocent of any wrongdoing,” says Baez. “He has not been charged with any crime. Enough is enough; let’s end this baseless speculation.”

Bobbi Kristina passed away in 2015 after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at the age of 22. The autopsy reports show that her death was caused by a combination of drowning and drug intoxication. Her mother, Whitney, died in 2012 when she accidentally drowned in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel due to factors including heart disease and cocaine use. Gordon, who was Bobbi Kristina’s live-in boyfriend at the time of her death, has denied any claims that allege his involvement in her death.

Bobby’s 20/20 interview will air on Tuesday, Jun. 7 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
