Johnny Manziel Gets Served Court Papers While Out Partying in Los Angeles
Well, that’s one way to kill the vibe.
Football star Johnny Manziel was served with legal papers while out and about with an unnamed female companion on Wednesday night (June 8, 2016). As he the 23-year-old was leaving The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, a man approached Manziel with an envelope containing his court summons. Though Johnny Football initially tried to ignore the man by brushing pass him and let the documents fall to the floor, he eventually went back and picked up the envelope before driving off. Embarrassing!
The summons was regarding Manziel’s lawsuit with Nicholas Goodwin, who is suing the NFL future for allegedly causing $32,000 in damage after throwing a wild house party at a rented mansion that resulted in the cops being called. TMZ reports that Goodwin is seeking more than $40,000 in compensation, which includes a $10,000 penalty plus thousands in damages.
However, a trashed mansion isn’t the only problem Manziel in hot water for these days. In May, Manziel was ordered by a judge to avoid all contact with ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley after being indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident in January.
He since defended himself on Twitter, writing:
Something tells us his troubled days are far from over.
