Amber Heard’s Lawyer Requests to Postpone Settlement Hearing
The battle drags on.
Amber Heard’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, requested that the judge postpones Heard’s initial court date with Johnny Depp that was originally scheduled for June 17. According to TMZ, Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, advised against this because the “longer this drags on the more it damages her client’s career.”
Wasser also requested phone records from Heard dating back to 2015 that reference any domestic violence inflicted by Depp. Heard was not present in court as she is out of town with her friend and witness, Raquel Pennington.
Documents previously filed by Depp’s lawyer accuse Heard of evading a deposition when she and Pennington were suddenly unavailable to give statements during today’s scheduled settlement conference.
