Angelina Jolie in Talks to Star in Remake ‘Murder on the Orient Express’
Angelina Jolie is reportedly in talks with Fox to star in the remake the 1970’s film.
Two years after the project first began being developed, the remake of the 1974 film Murder on the Orient Express based on the novel by Agatha Christie, Fox has finally begun gathering its cast. Kenneth Branagh has already signed on to direct and star in the remake as Hercule Poirot and now Jolie is in talks to board the project reports Variety.
Screenwriter Michael Green, known for his work on Blade Runner 2, is writing the film based on the novel. The novel, originally published in 1934, is the story of murder on the famous train. The film is set to follow Detective Poirot as he tries to solve the murder on the train and his encounters with passengers who could be the murderer.
