Will Smith and More Attend Muhammad Ali’s Funeral

Boxing Champ Muhammad Ali Dies at 74
We have just lost another legend.

Hollywood is saying farewell to the late boxing icon.

On Friday (June 10, 2016), hundreds of mourners flocked to Louisville, Ky. to honor Muhammad Ali, who passed away on June 4 at the age of 74 following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer’s daughter Laila Ali and actor Will Smith, who played the champ in 2001’s Ali, were just some of the many who showed up to pay their respects.

Smith and Mike Tyson were two of the guests who served as pallbearers.

Following the funeral service, the procession made its way along the route of Ali’s 1960 Olympic gold medal parade. The motorcade passed by several spots important to the boxer’s life in his hometown before reaching the Cave Hill Cemetery for the private burial.

More than 15,000 people are said to be attending a public interfaith memorial at the Yum! Center this afternoon. Bill Clinton and Billy Crystal are expected to speak.
