WATCH: Tara Reid Recalls Childhood Neglect, ‘Freezing to Death’

The Sharknado star opens up about a scarring incident from her childhood.

Tara Reid wants to open up to viewers of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars about lesser-known traumatic experiences from her life and childhood. In a sneak peek of Friday’s episode, Reid claims that she was neglected when she was five years old.

“The teachers at the school took me back to my house and just dropped me off, and no one was home,” she says. “It was like a blizzard outside. I started freezing to death.”

When the Dr. Phil knockoff life coach asks her to provide more details of her life, Reid grows angry, feeling like they are pushing her to comment on tabloid stories.

“I find more interesting is the stuff you guys don’t know about me,” says Reid. “If you’re not looking for interesting, you guys want to talk about tabloids. I don’t really want to … I’m trying to tell you guys how I feel and where it’s going, and you’re focusing on that. So why don’t you guys keep doing that? Because I don’t want to keep focusing on something everyone in this room knows the story to.”
