Here’s the $40,000-a-Month Apartment Taylor Swift Will Be Staying In for the Next Year

Not only is Taylor Swift shelling out some major cash on renovations for her New York City apartment, but she’s dropping a lot of money on her temporary home-away-from-home as well.

Amid reports that the “New Romantics” singer is planning to spend $535,000 on massive structural changes to the six floor and penthouse suite of the Big Apple building she resides, word has surfaced that the 26-year-old is renting out a $40,000-a-month crash pad for the duration of the construction.

So, what’s so great about her new pad? It’s probably nicer than anything us plebes have ever lived in.

Located in the West Village, the four-floor property boasts five bedrooms — including two master bedrooms — and seven-and-a-half bathrooms. If that’s not impressive enough for Manhattan living, the home, which is inside a carriage house built in 1912, also features a 30-foot-long indoor swimming pool, a fitness room, a two-story patio, an outdoor garden, and a private garage. Other luxury fixtures include three fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and white marble stairs.

Owned by Soho House exec David Aldea, the renovated residence had a listing price of $27 million in 2013.

In other words, Swift is probably feeling right at home. Click through the gallery below to get a tour inside!
