Beyoncé Sings ‘Halo’ in Honor of Orlando Shooting Victims

Beyoncé finished out the first leg of her Formation World Tour on a somber note.

She dedicated her closing song “Halo” to the victims of Orlando’s Pulse nightclub shooting, which left 49 dead and 53 injured.

Beyoncé, who’s been making the rounds across North America from one sold-out stadium to another, called “Halo” a “song about love,” on Tuesday night at Detroit’s Ford Field, dedicating it “to all of the family members who lost family members in Florida.”

The Voice singer Christina Grimmie was also murdered at her meet and greet after her show, also in Orlando, on Friday (June 10).

The European leg of the Formation World Tour will start back up on June 28 in Sunderland, England. Beginning Sept. 7 in East Rutherford, N.J, Beyoncé will also play another nine shows in the U.S.
