Ryan Gosling Moderates Odd Q&A with ‘The Neon Demon’ Star and Director

Ryan Gosling Thinks 'Women Are Better Than Men'
Hey girl, Ryan Gosling thinks you're pretty awesome

It sort of felt like a Nicolas Winding Refn movie.

As part of a special Cinespia screening of The Neon Demon, presented by Amazon Studios, director Nicolas Winding Refn and star Elle Fanning participated in a weird but entertaining Q&A, moderated by frequent Refn player, Ryan Gosling.

According to the StarkInsider, the panel was “punctuated by awkward questions (‘What’s it like being brilliant?’ and ‘Does everyone really have a sixteen year old girl inside of him?’), awkward silences (true to a Refn film) and awkward answers (‘Yes’ and ‘No’). Take a look!

Refn is known for eclectic and beautiful films such as Drive and Only God Forgives (both starring Gosling). The Neon Demon follows suit, revolving around a 16-year-old girl (Fanning), who comes to L.A to be a model. But her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has.

Following the Q&A, Refn, Fanning, and Gosling were joined by the rest of the film’s cast and celebrity guests including Jena Malone, Christina Hendricks, Elle’s sister, Dakota Fanning and others for an after-party held at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Elle and sister Dakota also took advantage of the The Neon Demon-themed photo booth… man, they are such stunning girls.
