Love Is Dead: Iggy Azalea Ends Engagement to Nick Young Over Trust Issues

Iggy Azalea and Nick Young are the latest celebrity couple to have called it quits in 2016.

The rapper and the NBA player, who were involved in a cheating scandal earlier this year, are no longer engaged due to “trust” issues. Azalea pointed all of this out in an Instagram post yesterday (June 19), which noted:

Unfortunately, although I love Nick and I have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him – It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to. I genuinely wish Nick the best. It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned you’re entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page.

Young, aka Swaggy P, simply wrote on Twitter, “Single.”

Back in March, Young’s Laker’s teammate D’Angelo Russell leaked a video of Young apparently bragging about sleeping with another woman (a teenager) while engaged to Azalea.

After the video went viral, Young seemingly confirmed the cheating rumors and confronted the scandal head-on in a post-game press conference:

I don’t want to get into my personal life right now. I think it’s best me and D’Angelo handle the situation we have in a private matter, outside of the media. I think it’s something we do need to sit down and talk about and that’s about it. What happened is what happened. We’ve got to work on it.

Azalea, meanwhile, tweeted that she was a fan of the video, and later joked about cutting off Young’s penis.

She said in an interview with “Orlando & The Freakshow” radio show on Wild 94.1: “I’m not cool with it … Like, you’ll have half a penis. I already said one more video, just one more thing and you will lose a quarter of your meat.”

That comment was a much different tune than what she told Ellen DeGeneres a couple days earlier: “We’re good…There isn’t [controversy] at home just on the internet.”
