Stephanie Seymour Clarifies Her ‘Bitches of the Moment’ Comment, Applauds Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid for Their ‘Hard Work’

Stephanie Seymour is backtracking after receiving backlash for calling Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid the “bitches of the moment.”

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Seymour admitted she didn’t think new models like Jenner and Hadid deserved the title of “supermodels” and instead suggested they be called the “bitches of the moment.” Jenner soon clapped back with Hadid’s approval, saying she was disappointed in the supermodels comments, admitting Seymour was someone she looked up to. Now Seymour is clarifying her statement, taking to Instagram to insist she never meant to offend anyone.

“I don’t usually address rumors, but since feelings have been hurt I would like to set the story straight,” she wrote in an Instagram post, Sunday afternoon (June. 19, 2016). “At an event last week I was jokingly asked if the ‘era of supermodels’ was over, what should we call the new great ‘it’ girls?? There were no names mentioned, and NO ill intent involved.” Seymour concluded her statement, applauding the young models for all of their hard work.

Hopefully, now Jenner and Hadid can go back to looking up to Seymour instead of feuding with her.
