Though it’s been confirmed that all three of Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) ex-boyfriends will make an appearance on Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival, it’s now officially set in stone that one of them will definitely not end up within the four-part series.
David Sutcliffe, who plays Rory’s dad Christopher, recently let slipped that his onscreen daughter will not be getting back together with a certain beloved character. So, who’s the unlucky fellow: Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), or Logan (Matt Czuchry)? [SPOILERS AHEAD, obviously]
“You know, I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends,” he told USA Today. “I know they’re not going to end up together but, Rory and Dean seem like a good couple.
Sutcliffe also said the storylines for the revival have been “incredible.”
“There was something about coming back seven years later, everyone’s older and a little wiser,” he continued. “In the beginning we were all still trying to find our way. This time, there was a lightness on the set and it made more space for us to just to create and it really comes through. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product and I’m confident the fans are going love it.”
Well, maybe except for those Rory/Dean shippers. (Do they even exist?)
