Kim Kardashian’s ‘Everyday’ Makeup Routine Costs Over $700
When you’re Kim Kardashian, your “everyday glam” costs as much as some people’s weekly salary.
According to a new video shared on the reality star’s app, her daily beauty session involves at least 22 separate products worth a combined total of $792 (and that doesn’t even include the cost of professional brushes and labor). Enlisting the help of celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta and model Sarah Stage, Kardashian breaks down her pricey routine in a makeup tutorial.
Be warned: There are a lot of steps.
To prep the eyes, Ta applies MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre on the lids to prevent the eyeshadow from creasing before topping it off with Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Foundation in #7 using a Beautyblender. He then sets it with Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Powder in Soft Sand.
For Kardashian’s smokey eye, Ta uses at least three shadows — Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow in Fawn, Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eye Shadow in 86 Trace, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow in Smoke — smudged into the crease and along the upper lash line. To make the eyes pop, he lightly applies a layer of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Global Glow to the inner corner of the lids.
In order to achieve Kardashian’s signature lengthy lashes, Ta recommends using the Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler — a favorite of Kourtney Kardashian’s as well — along with Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Mascara. He relies on falsies like the Esqido Lashes Lashlorette for fuller lashes.
As for contouring, Ta applies dabs a little bit of Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Foundation in #7 to the cheeks using a Beautyblender and applies Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Almond under the eyes to establish an even base. He lightly applies Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer to the hollows of the cheek, hairline, and jawlines before blending it all with the big end of the Beautyblender. He sets everything under the eyes with Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in Voile Rose before dusting on La Mer The Powder onto any areas on the face prone to oil and shine.
Ta then uses Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush in Nectar on the cheeks and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop — the same one Kylie Jenner bought during a recent four-figure shopping spree at Sephora — on the highest part of the cheekbone.
For brows on fleek, Ta brushes the hairs using the spoolie end of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown before apply the product in upward strokes to mimic the hair follicles. He fills in the brow with shades from Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pro Palette and keeps everything in place with Kelley Baker Clear Eyebrow Gel.
