What on Earth is the Game of Thrones star doing?!

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will appear as the villain in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the newest title in the video game franchise from Activision, and we’ve got some cool behind-the-scenes photos showing how it’s done.

As a player in Infinite Warfare, you are a Captain of your own warship, fighting against a relentless enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. The SDF is led by Admiral Salen Kotch, played by Harington, who is brought to life via state-of-the-art performance capture (PCAP) technology, and he’s going to doggedly pursue you throughout the Infinite Warfare narrative, eventually leading to a dramatic confrontation.

The Infinity Ward narrative team and director Guy Ritchie worked with Harington in London over the course of about a week, shooting on cutting-edge performance capture sound stages and utilizing next-gen technology to bring Kotch to life. The game is due for release November 4, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
