Demi Lovato Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Ranting on Twitter Now That She Un-Quit
Demi Lovato – who quit Twitter (and Instagram) three days ago after receiving backlash from going in on Mariah Carey only to return less than 24 hours later – is now ranting about celebrity culture.
Around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday night, Lovato tweeted she was in the studio “gettin honest…”
“The world is weird,” she started. “I bet our country knows more about celebrities than they know about what’s happening over seas or global warming.”
“We complain about how unfair paparazzi and tabloid rumors are but still buy the magazines to find out who’s fucking who and who wore it best,” Lovato said as if she herself has never profited from being at the center of celebrity gossip.
Then she richly created a poll asking, “How many people can name someone on the FBI’s top 10 most wanted list.” Nearly 100,000 voted.
Thinking she’s all profound or something, Lovato then asked questions like, “Is it our fault though? Has society fed into it or is this just easy business with everyone from blogs to magazines trying to cash in?” and “Who’s fault is it that teens can name more celebrity feuds than wars?”
…And that’s how she ended it.
