Harry Styles Is as Free as a Bird

Billboard reports that former One Direction frontman, Harry Styles, signed a solo recording contract with Columbia Records following the band’s indefinite hiatus.

Sources tell the publication Styles’ deal terms are not set in stone and that there is “no timeline” for a solo album. This move is foreshadowed by an instance last year when four of his original songs were registered with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). He also parted with Modest Management in February, the management team that guided One Direction’s career, to sign with CAA management’s Jeffrey Azoff.

He is currently filming Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, which will be his debut on the silver screen. This news comes on the same day that Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron announced that he will resign in the wake of Britain’s historic Brexit vote. Hey, Dave — Ever thought about taking up 1D’s lead vocals?
