Love Is Dead: Dennis Quaid’s Wife Kimberly Files for Divorce (Again)

Dennis Quaid’s wife of 12 years, Kimberly, has filed for divorce from the actor for the second time.

TMZ reports that Kimberly Quaid filed the divorce petition Tuesday (June 28, 2016) in Los Angeles. Dennis is meanwhile working in Vancouver, Canada on his show Crackle’s The Art of More, but it was not a blindside.

The former couple said in a joint statement to TMZ:

After careful consideration, we have decided to end our 12 year marriage. The decision was made amicably and with mutual respect toward one another.

Dennis added, “We will always remain great friends and devoted partners in raising our children.”

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ that much of the details for their split has already been sorted out, including the divvying up of assets. Furthermore, they plan to share custody of their now 8-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe.

You may remember in 2007 when staffers mistakenly gave the infants a near fatal dose of Heparin when they were born at Cedars Sinai.

Quaid and Kimberly wed in 2004. Kimberly, a Texas real estate agent, first filed for divorce in 2012, noting that their marriage had become “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.” After withdrawing the papers two months later to work on their marriage, she filed for legal separation in November 2012. They later reconciled.

Quaid was previously married to actress P.J. Soles and former co-star Meg Ryan (with whom he has a son, 24-year-old actor Jack Quaid).
