Prince Harry Found His Inner Rockstar at Kensington Palace’s First Concert

Prince Harry’s showing at the Sentebale Concert might as well be his audition to be considered as One Direction’s new frontman.

Harry joined Coldplay’s Chris Martin onstage at Kensington Palace’s first-ever concert on Tuesday (June 28, 2016) that raised money for his Sentebale charity, which supports youth affected by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

“What we know is that HIV is a virus that thrives off silence and feeds on stigma,” said Prince Harry in Martin’s introduction. “Every single one of us has a responsibility to educate ourselves. To do what we can to speak out and stamp out the silence, ignorance, and fear that the virus needs to win.”

Joss Stone, the Basotho Youth Choir and Nico and Vinz were among the musical acts that joined Martin and his band on the East Lawn of the royal residence. Prince Harry joined in on the final number to perform Coldplay’s “Up&Up”, and it’s safe to say his aspirations of becoming a headbanger are as foreseeable as those of your uncle who wears high socks in the middle of July.
