Katy Perry Is Most Followed Person on Twitter with 90 Million

Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and More Sign Open Letter Urging Congress to Stop Gun Violence
Over 180 – and counting – top artists and music industry executives have signed an open letter urging Congress to stop gun violence.

Katy Perry is the Queen of Twitter!

2016 has already seen some big firsts. The U.K. left the European Union; Leonardo DiCaprio claimed his first Oscar; a woman is now a nominee for President of the United States with a major political party. But all that pales in comparison to Katy Perry’s latest achievement: becoming the first human to reach 90 million Twitter followers.

Twitter itself made the announcement today that the “Roar” songstress has claimed the title, leaving the likes of Justin Bieber (83.9 million followers) and Taylor Swift (79 million followers) in the dust.

Now, evidence suggests that more than half of these Twitter users are bots, but don’t let that fly in your chardonnay ruin this celebratory news, KatyCats! Bots are kinda everywhere!
