FX Announces the ‘American Horror Story’ Season 6 Premiere Date

FX announced the premiere date for the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

Ryan Murphy’s critically-acclaimed series will return to your television set on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. EST. It will follow the network’s debut of its two new comedies, Donald Glover’s Atlanta (Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. EST) and Better Things (Thursday, Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. EST).

Other than the premiere date, not much is known about American Horror Story’s upcoming season. Murphy said that the theme was still being determined during the show’s panel at PaleyFest in March, and Evan Peters was just as unsure about it during a recent interview with PeopleMurphy said that there were two themes that were being fleshed out, one of which involves “elements of children.”

“Both things that we’re writing right now — we haven’t yet declared the winner — will have a different form than we’ve ever done, so we’re excited about that,” said Murphy at PaleyFest. “We’ll talk about it soon, but we haven’t landed on it.”

Angela Bassett alluded to themes of her character’s alcoholism and Sarah Paulson being her boss in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The show’s social media accounts also gave a sneak peek at Season’s 6 logo last week. It appears as though we have a pulse, kids.
